All by it's self.....found this laying on the ground in the facility.
A couple of years ago, Elise picked up a Wheel Bug. Very nasty looking thing. Not sure if I had ever even seen one before and after looking at it, not sure why she would want to touch it. She just isn't chicken like Mom. Anyway, it stabbed her in the hand and injected the stuff it uses to turn its prey to mush so it can suck out it's guts. Her hand took nearly 4 months to completely heal and she still has the scar. I walked out the door the other day and for the first time since, I saw one sitting right on the key pad stand.
This morning I got a phone call from a frantic customer who had followed someone in nearly two hours ago. She asked me if the gate opens before 6 am and I told her no that the hours of access are between 6am and 9pm. So I ask her her name and she tells me and I ask her at which facility is she stuck. What she has done, although there is a Kiosk at which she can pay right outside my office door, she has chosen to follow someone in. After sitting here two hours now she cannot get back out. She gives me her credit card information and I take it and tell her I will be at the office in just a little bit. Once again she goes into a high pitched squeal asking me to “Run the number, run the number now!” I tell her I am in the car I can't do that. I am on my way there right now and will “Run the number” the moment I get in. By the way, during the time I am taking her number over the phone, she tells me there is a guy there who is messing with her phone signal. I never think to ask her who this man is that there messing with her phone signal since she is suppose to be in my facility and by herself.
About 5 minutes later, I arrive at my office and go in and immediately key in her credit card information, giving her access to the doors. She simply sits in her car. She has seen me pull in and go into the office but she isn't attempting to open the gate. I go out and she will only roll the window down ½ inch and the windows are tinted. She tell me she is busy and will come talk to me in the office later. AAAUUUHHHH! I'd really rather you didn't.
I come back in and when she called to tell me how she had been locked in for two hours, the guy she followed in while he was leaving had left at 8:35am, her phone call is at 8:36!!! One minute now is = to two hours! She was asking me when the gate opens so she could be sure that two hours was a correct amount of time that she COULD have been in there waiting. On top of this she has just attempted to key in every number know to man and none of them are her actual access code. How was she planning to come in and out anyway, even if her bill had been paid if she has no clue what her access code is!
She calls me with her number blocked so I can't just dial her right back, so I call her after looking her number up in the system and she immediately tells me she isn't “*&$%^” and hangs up. I just finished talking to her on the phone and it was her. Geeeeze oh Pete! First contact of the day! I hope it's not an Omen.
BTW: she sat in the car for exactly 36 minutes before getting our of her car and even attempting to use her number on the door to get into her storage. This from the frantic customer who had sat here for 2 hours already waiting....
This customer has not left yet and is still out there going through her stuff. I am hoping she will get too busy to come in before I have to leave at 1pm. Its only 10:56 right now so I doubt I will get so lucky. She wants to change her gate code once again and probably go over all the ways she knows she got broken into.
